Reopening Plans May 2021

It is proposed to reopen the Club on Tuesday 25th May for summer play. The following sessions are planned:

  • Tuesdays
    10am – 12 and 2pm - 4pm 
  • Wednesdays
    7 – 9pm
  • Thursdays
    10am – 12pm and 2 – 4pm

 

To help facilitate bookings, the Cub will be open to members on Monday morning May 24th 10-12pm for rink bookings, by phone or in person

Open play sessions will be offered to Members only, with a maximum of 6 players per rink (until restrictions are eased, hopefully on June 22nd). Normal rollup fees will apply.


The League Secretary hopes to run the two leagues normally run in the summer and is contacting previous team capains.More on this as it comes available. If you want to play, contact your previous teaam captain or email the league secretary.

The Management asks all Members to abide by the Government's COVID rules and apply common sense where necessary: Hands, Face, Space.

Winter
The Club plans to open the Winter Season with Open Play on 20thSeptember (subject to no change in Covid rules of course).Winter Leagues will start on Monday 4th October, 2021.


Membership special


If members have not already re-joined and wish to play, the club is offering a discounted re-joining fee for the Summer. If you wish to take advantage of this, use the button (below) to download the application form, or email the Membership Secretary.

COVID News


The Club has installed a new COVID-certificated ventilation system which is in line with current Government regulations and best practices, It will give the added benefit of extra cooling during the Summer months.

Parking Update!


BCP Council has been active during lockdown, changing the available parking:

  • The COVID-19 Testing Station has now GONE and the entire car park is available;
  • Opposite the Club is now COACHES ONLY (orange area) and there is no disabled parking spaces;
  • Two new disabled parking spaces (also orange area)  have been introduced near the Club fire exit;


As more Christchurch Council functions are moved to Bournemouth Town Hall, spaces are increasingly available in the West car park, and your Bowls Parking Permit is valid there.
